Norton blocks all attempts by all outside agents - even legitimate ones like the Windows processes shown in the screenshots. There is no need to do anything. No need to scan with a third-party anti-malware program, no need to change services settings. These events are not attacks. They can be ignored. Unless the actor in the logs is an actual malicious process that does not belong on your PC, these events are totally harmless and routine. And in 8 years on the forums, I have not seen even one report of a Tamper Protection event that was malicious.
And remote thing of the services like SoulAsylum said Ok thanks for the info and help of the blocking thing guys. As long as it not too sensitive of messing up my system. These Tamper Protection entries have been commonplace for a very long time Do not worry about them. Back to top. Norton Security "Unauthorized access blocked"-events. Thread starter tox1c90 Start date Nov 22, So it's really spamming Nortons eventlog and make it quite hard to look for the more interesting stuff.
So my question is: Is it really Adguard trying to get some information about the processes running including ns. If it's Adguard, could you please do something to exclude the Norton process from whatever Adguard is doing so that this eventlog-rampage comes to an end?
For this to happen, Norton's process ns. Please check if this is the case, and remove that process from filtered. Ever seen adds in your browser? A million and one things can mess up your windows installation in the most subtle ways and cause problems. For OP my guess is that Norton broke something that conhost a built-in software from microsoft that handles drag and drop between mainly command prompt.
My guess you have something similar, but you never post any useful information about your problem. OP did a great job finding the log in norton, hence there is a breadcrumb to follow. Just a thought, a quick google search of conhost shows that it have had problem with google chrome in the past, my guess its something similar, Try to run a single client EVE without any other software running yes close your browser , still get disconnects every 10 min? Its the same on a lap top to and lastnight i went to a mates with my pc and laptop and it did the same there PC has had a full scan for everything all is fine.

Perhaps this will help. I would say that anything you put into folders and put them into exclude from SONAR,and the other things will lesson the security of your computer.
It's being excluded from Norton activities which are meant to protect your computer. This is just my opinion since I am not a Symantec Employee. Plz review bjm's comment here. It causes ArchCAD to crash. NPTP doesn't "fight back", it just prevents executables e. That doesn't mean, however, that a recent update in the Intrusion Prevention System IPS isn't causing issues with legitimate software. See Symantec employee miket's post in Useful's thread Norton stops programs from running for one example.
When you say you can see Norton blocking ArchCAD in your security history, do you mean you see Unauthorized access blocked messages in your Norton Product Tamper Protection history around the time that ArchCAD crashes it would be very unusual if NPTP was the actual cause of your crashes , and is it possible this problem dates back to Dec? According to my Intrusion Prevention history the last major update to my IP system was around Dec, when the IP engine was updated from v7.
There have been several updates to the IP definition set since then my current version is v Further to my previous post, issues with Intrusion Prevention can also occur if Exploit Prevention thinks your software is mimicking the behaviour of a known exploit i.
Just following up. Is ArchCAD still crashing, or were you able to find a solution? Some is probably changed at Norton, and I have at my Totalmedia 3.
